Attending the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) Convention for the first time was a unique and enlightening experience. I had never been part of an affinity space quite like this in the journalism industry. It was special to connect with other AANHPI leaders and meet with folks who are just starting their careers.

I plan to continue nurturing the connections and relationships I've made within the 2025 AAJA-ELP cohort. I am incredibly grateful to the Tiffany Shackelford Foundation for the scholarship that made it possible for me to attend the four-day AAJA Convention in Seattle.
